Few steps away from Trevi Fountain

By walking 10 minutes only you will reach one of the most iconic fountains in Rome. Trevi Fountain was commissioned to the famous architect M.V. Agrippa by Emperor Augusto in 19 B.C. Since then the structure and design of the fountain were continuously revised by several artists. The most important one was Nicola Salvi who completed his work in 1732.

The history behind this fountain is full of anecdotes and interesting tales. It is the result of fights between powerful and noble people, artists, and popes. You should come and visit it and if you do, make sure you throw a coin in the fountain. You should use your right hand and throw it at the back of your left shoulder, as tradition wants. Interesting fact: every year all the coins collected sum up to a total of a million euros! All of which is donated to charities.
